The 2022 Festival is currently in the planning stage for the date of June 18, 2022. Our program is available below.
We lined up some amazing cultural performances for you last year. See who performed in 2022.
We are accepting applications for performers for 2023. One stage will be inside ShoWare in the arena and the other will be outside in front of ShoWare on the plaza.
We brought together a variety of tasty flavors and dishes from around the globe with local food trucks for the first time in 2022. See below a sampling of the food trucks who joined us last year. We are recruiting food trucks again for 2023 to be at accesso ShoWare Center in the west parking lot from 11am to 3:00 pm.
Spice On Curve brings authentic Indian flavors! They are known for their spicy food and main dishes including lamb curry, tikka masala, vegetable curry, and so much more. These dishes are inspired from age old recipes that have been passed down in the family for decades. Their spin on street food is what makes them unique, and easy to eat! These dishes are made using only local ingredients.
PAPAREPAS Venezuelan Food has a great variety of options among which you can find proteins, carbohydrates, vegetables, gluten free, vegetarian, or vegan options.
Venezuelan Food is vibrant and diverse, full of fresh, hearty produce, and some fascinating fusions. Our foods have all he passion and color of Latin America.
Mohamed and Ahmed - brothers who were born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt - found their passion for cooking working odd end jobs during their first few years living in the States.
in 2019, they decided to share their passion with the world by opening a food truck. They use traditional preparations for dishes that are authentic to their Egyptian origin. All of their sauces and spreads are made from scratch giving folks a healthy alternative to fast food.
El Argento is Authentic Argentinian Cuisine. Washingtonians enjoy trying out unique tastes. Since there are hardly any Argentine cuisine in WA, El Argento shares a piece of their country’s authentic taste. They started as a food truck and have recently expanded to a brick and mortar restaurant. Come and visit them for the same great food and a whole new experience!
Dat Creole Soul was born from the passion of “The Boss” Hampton Isom. The Boss had a dream to bring his love of Cajun Cuisine to the Pacific Northwest and has built one of the finest food trucks the Seattle area has seen. When you see the truck, you’ll know some of the best spoon'n is definitely done in the kitchen.
Authentic Mexican Tacos
BIRRIA is a Mexican stew made with meat (beef, lamb, goat) braised in an adobo, flavored with dried chiles and herbs. Garnished with cilantro, onion and lime. Fire Tacos De Birria serves Tacos de Birria. Handmade Corn Tortillas. Res/Beef. Borrego/Lamb. Chivo/Goat.
Khun 9 Thai Truck - Great taste is the name of the game and they're committed to stepping up to the plate. Their goal is provide delicious, natural options. That's why they prepare all of their meals with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Pecos Pit was put on this planet to spread the joy of great BBQ, flavor and family to every city. Pecos Pit BBQ Restaurants trace their roots back to when Ron and Debra Wise opened the first Pecos on Seattle’s 1st Avenue South in 1980. They served two essential ingredients to their guests; warm welcomes and smoked meats. Their delicious alder smoked, slow-roasted beef and pork are now legendary.
Litty City Cafe will be not be a food truck but will have a dessert booth at our festival. They are a cafe located right here in Kent. Come to their booth on the plaza to buy delicious waffles and shave ice.
Our Passport Cultural booths had an interactive activity for you to enjoy and to learn something about their culture. These booths are located inside ShoWare in the Concourse.
Stop at the KIF Passport Booth with a sign that has a picture of the KIF Passport and ask for a passport. Then enjoy interactive games, activities, or fun challenges at each of the cultural Passport booths. When complete, ask to have the Passport stamped and go to the next booth. When all done, go back to the KIF Passport Booth and vote for the best cultural Passport booth. We will have a free book written by Eileen Wacker to give you.

These booths were located outside in front of ShoWare. You can find information and service booths, cultural retail booths and other local organizations.
These booths have helped support our festival with funding to keep Kent International festival free for the public to attend. Stop by and learn more about what these businesses offer to the greater Kent area. These booths are also outside on the plaza.

For several years, Kent Community Foundation has organized and sponsored an art exhibit for our festival. The art work comes from many students in the Kent School District.
Last year they displayed the work of almost 150 students inside in the arena in ShoWare. Many attendees stopped by to see all the wonderful drawings from our local students.
There was also an origami activity that attendees could try while visiting the art exhibit.
